Janardan Metal Industries Marks a Historic Milestone in the World’s First Commercial Solar Boiler Project
We are proud to announce a significant achievement for Janardan Metal Industries as we played a pivotal role in the successful execution of the world’s first commercial solar boiler, designed by Sunrise CSP India Pvt. Ltd., and commissioned at the Goraj Muni Seva Ashram. This landmark project sets a global precedent in sustainable energy solutions and reinforces our commitment to engineering excellence.
At the heart of this revolutionary system lies the main boiler coil, meticulously fabricated by our team. As the critical heat exchange interface, this component truly serves as the "heart" of the installation. We also designed and manufactured two high-performance pressure vessels, customized to meet the stringent operational demands of this groundbreaking system, developed by Sunrise CSP India Pvt. Ltd.
A notable innovation in this project is the first rotary joint designed under IBR (Indian Boiler Regulations) by Sunrise CSP and manufactured by Janardan Metal Industries—a pioneering accomplishment, done for the first time in India.
Our scope of work extended well beyond component manufacturing. We executed the complete system piping, managed all IBR procedures and approvals, and oversaw the commissioning and hydro testing—delivered with precision and full regulatory compliance.
This project was carried out under the expert guidance of the Sunrise CSP Australia team, Mr. Pranav Gadhia (CEO, Sunrise CSP India Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Kandarp Shankhla (Senior Design Engineer), and from our side, Mr. Raxit Parikh and Mr. Milind Parikh of Janardan Metal Industries.
We are also deeply grateful for the guidance and support provided by the IBR officials from the Vadodara office, and the constant support from the Office of the Director of Boilers, Gujarat State (Ahmedabad), which was crucial in ensuring the project's successful execution.
