What is a Non-IBR Boiler?

A Non-IBR boiler refers to a steam boiler that does not fall under the purview of the Indian Boiler Regulation (IBR) due to its lower capacity and pressure specifications—typically under 25 liters in water holding capacity and under 1 kg/cm² pressure when in operation. These boilers are widely used where rapid, controlled, low-pressure steam is sufficient.
